Free Vaccine Clinics

To ensure that residents are protected from serious respiratory illness, Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) is hosting free vaccine clinics offering flu and COVID-19 vaccinations throughout the city. Getting vaccinated every year for flu and COVID-19 as part of back-to-school and fall routines is an important tool to protect ourselves and our communities from serious illness.

The dates and locations of our first month of clinics are:

Wednesday, October 7, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Josephine Fiorentino Community Center

General State Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm

Voter Registration Deadline: Saturday, October 24, 2026

Early Voting: Saturday, October 17, through Friday, October 30 (locations and times to be determined)

Allston/Brighton 121B Project Meeting

Boston Planning Department · Monday, September 28, 2026, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Staff of the Planning Department will be holding a public meeting regarding the possibility of providing a tax abatement for three projects in Allston: Allston Yards building D, 22-24 Pratt Street, and 83 Leo M. Birmingham Parkway, to allow these projects to begin construction in the next year and add critically needed housing. The City of Boston is considering time-limited tax relief for some previously approved development projects that will create a significant amount of housing, income-restricted units, and climate resilient development. Staff will go over the tax relief proposal and answer any questions. No changes to the projects are being proposed at this time.* Please review the approved project proposals and submit comments regarding the possibility of financial relief here.

Participate in FREE fitness classes offered by one of our certified instructors. Our classes are a partnership between the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Boston Public Health Commission. The series is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Kick It is a music-driven, kickboxing-inspired fitness method with 13 rounds. The class brings high intensity interval training with kickboxing, boxing, rhythmic components and a meditative cool down. All levels welcome! All you need is a yoga mat, sneakers, water, and yourself.
