State Primary: Tuesday, September 1, 2026
Voter Registration Deadline: Saturday, August 22, 2026
For the State Primary, any absentee request by mail must be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. If you qualify, you have until Monday, August 31 at 12 p.m. to vote absentee in person in the Boston Election Department Office, City Hall 241.
Early Voting: All polling locations listed below are open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23.

Participate in FREE fitness classes offered by one of our certified instructors. Our classes are a partnership between the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Boston Public Health Commission. The series is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Kick It is a music-driven, kickboxing-inspired fitness method with 13 rounds. The class brings high intensity interval training with kickboxing, boxing, rhythmic components and a meditative cool down. All levels welcome! All you need is a yoga mat, sneakers, water, and yourself.

9. Request authorization to petition the Zoning Commission to adopt text amendments implementing updates to Article 88 of the Zoning Code to (1) establish the new Consolidated Local Permit process for Small Clean Energy Infrastructure pursuant to the State’s 225 CMR 29.00; and (2) establish use and dimensional regulations for Battery Energy Storage Systems.
Outcome: Approved.
