Allston Construction Mitigation Subcommittee Meeting

Chaired by Harvard Allston Task Force (HATF) member Ed Kotomori, this subcommittee invites developer construction mitigation and community relations staff, Boston Police Department District 14, local and state elected officials and their representatives, and local North Allston neighbors, to discuss issues surrounding construction and safety issues in the neighborhood. All are welcome to attend and contribute.

Park Fitness Kick It by Eliza with Olivia

Participate in FREE fitness classes offered by one of our certified instructors. Our classes are a partnership between the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Boston Public Health Commission. The series is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Kick It is a music-driven, kickboxing-inspired fitness method with 13 rounds. The class brings high intensity interval training with kickboxing, boxing, rhythmic components and a meditative cool down. All levels welcome! All you need is a yoga mat, sneakers, water, and yourself.

2026 Children’s Arts and Crafts Workshops: Brighton
Boston Parks and Recreation · Friday, July 10, 2026, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm · Repeats weekly, July 10 – July 24, 2026
Our arts and crafts workshops are led by local artists. They’re held Tuesday through Friday in July and August and run from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. These drop-in workshops encourage kids to explore their creativity through projects like mask making, crayon art, watercolor and much more. Supplies are provided, but you’ll need to bring your creativity!
This series is completely free and open to Boston residents. These workshops will take place in various parks throughout the City of Boston. Registration is required for groups of 8 or more. Please email allison.singer2@boston.gov to register.
