Upcoming Meetings

Fidelis Way Park Community Meeting

A community meeting for the improvements to Fidelis Way Park will be held on February 2, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the BHA Commonwealth Center (35 Fidelis Way).  This will be the third meeting for these improvements. During the second community meeting in October, Boston Parks and Recreation, along with Brown, Richardson and Rowe Inc. landscape group, sourced community feedback for three potential designs.

Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on February 3, 2026. Two developments in Allston are on the docket:

  • Extending the ZBA approval for 1270 Commonwealth Avenue, a development that seeks to create a new six-story residential building with 206 residential units and 68 parking spaces.
  • A development at 22 Pratt Street will demolish the existing buildings and construct two towers connected by a podium. In total, the development will have 318 units of housing. The developers are seeking approval for several variances, including floor-area ratio, building height, rear yard, side yard and forbidden use for multi-family dwelling.

Lincoln Street Noise Barrier

On February 5, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will host an open house to source public feedback on a noise barrier built along Lincoln Street and the I-90. The meeting will span two hours from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Josephine Fiorentino Community Center. The meeting is part of the Allston Multimodal Transportation Project.

Allston-Brighton Community Plan Open Houses

The Allston-Brighton Community Plan will host two open house meetings next week: a virtual meeting on February 9 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and an in-person meeting at the Boston Green Academy on February 11 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Because the Allston-Brighton Community Plan will intersect with an effort to re-zone the neighborhood, the meetings will be centered around zoning, including the fundamentals of zoning as well as the importance of zoning for a community’s vision, focusing on small-scale residential areas. The two meetings represent the first open house for the community plan since July 2025, and the first update since last November when the Planning Department released an update by email to summarize their engagement period.

676 Washington Street Public Comment

Developers at 676 Washington Street, which previously held Our Lady of the Presentation Church, seek to redevelop it into a multi-family residential unit. The developers will build a four-story addition at the rear of the church. The development will have 33 two-bedroom units and 33 spaces of below-grade parking while maintaining the façade of the previous church. Comments will be open until March 6, 2026. ■
