SAFETY

• Record serial number of your bike and proof of ownership

• Register your bike on a bike registry (Project 529, BikeIndex.org)

• If your bike is stolen, contact local police station (District D-14, 617-343-4260) with your serial number and pictures of your bike. 

USING BLUEBIKES

• Bluebikes is Greater Boston’s public bike share program, where users can pick up a bike at one station and return it to another. 

• Classic pedal bikes cost $2.95 for the first 30 minutes, with an additional $0.25 charged for every minute after that. Electric Bluebikes also start at $2.95, but there is no included ride time — instead, riders are charged $0.25 per minute from the start.

LEARN TO BIKE IN BOSTON

CommonWheels provides tools, advice, and bike fixing at the Grove  (Western Ave across Trader Joe’s) every Monday starting at 3 P.M. and Saturday starting at 2 P.M. ■
